Writer: Gregg Hurwitz                      Penciller: David Finch
Publisher: DC Comics                       Batman created by Bob Kane

Batman: the Dark Knight #10 is a bad ass beginning to a new chapter in the life that is the Scarecrow.  The title of the story is called Hollow Man.  It begins with a twisted doctor aka the Scarecrow using an innocent child as a guinea pig to his new fear toxin. We then find out that this is not the first child to have vanished only to return altered beyond repair.  Batman follows the car that dropped off the latest victim.

Batman makes a dramatic entrance by kicking the driver out of his getaway car.  (One of the best panels I have seen in a long time)  The driver only knew his employer as the Hollow Man, but of course Batman knows there is more to the story.  So he digs deeper, even trying to get information from the latest victim.

Meanwhile back at Commissioner Gordon’s house we find that the Scarecrow has a surprise waiting for one of Gotham’s finest. Once Gordon is under the spell of the latest fear toxin, the Scarecrow makes his dramatic entrance let us know that he is ready to play.  This looks like it will be a twisted story indeed.

I believe Finch is one of the best artists in the biz today.  I totally follow his work as much as I can.  The writing by Hurwitz is spectacular!  This truly is the dynamic duo.  I have always been a fan of the Scarecrow and I believe these two gentlemen will make an insane villain even more insane.  I give this issue a rating of 10 out of 10.
