A young librarian, Jonathan Harker, is welcomed at Castle Dracula by the Count and a young woman named Tania, from there the madness ensues.

Dario Argento, a name that is very well known in the Horror genre, his films such as “Inferno”, “Deep Red” & “Suspiria” have given him a legendary status to fans worldwide. When news broke out that he was returning after a 3 year break I was VERY excited, then when the second part of the news broke that it was in 3D my heart sank and so did my excitement.

I’m not a fan of this 3D fad, but after giving it a thought over I realised I was being stupid. I mean come on, this is Dario Argeto where talking about, maybe he could be he one to convert me to actually like these 3D films.

Word on the film went very quiet for a long time, then news started leaking out that all was not well. Apparently the big problem was that this was Argento’s first time using the 3D technology and had no clue what he was doing. My faith stood strong with him as he is a legend in his own right, how can the guyb who gave us some of the best moments in Horror mess up?

Then I saw the trailer, despite what looks like some great acting it seems filled with over-used, low budget CGI. My first thought was that it looked like the films you buy in bargain stores, films you’ve never heard of and for good reason, You all know what I’m on about.

I will still give it a try, I mean the trailer is only parts of the film, maybe on full viewing it will be great but I’m keeping my expectations low for now. View the trailer below, I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on it.
