As we left off in issue #10 (read that review HERE,) John Stewart was just sentenced to death for the murder of a fellow lantern.  Yes, John did kill a lantern but it was a choice he made to save millions.  Guy new he did the right thing and he wasn’t going to let his buddy die, so Gardner with the help of some lanterns planned and carried out a jail break.  Well let’s just say this made the Alpha Lanterns quite unhappy.

While Guy helped John to safety, the other lanterns stayed behind to stall the Alphas.  That is until the Alphas shut down their power.  Even without the power of the rings, the lanterns fought to protect John Stewart.  While the Alphas dealt with the “riot”, Guy and John came across the Guardians secret lab where the manhunters were made. This gave John an idea which we would see soon.

We go back to find the Alphas have captured and are torturing lanterns such as Kilowog to find out where the two went.  Kilowog would not say anything, but the Alphas would soon find out that Guy and John were not hiding and they were not alone anymore.  That idea John had that I talked about earlier.  They put together a manhunter army of their own and powered them with their rings.  It was nothing the Alphas couldn’t handle but it did slow them down enough for the plan to come together.  What was the plan?  We will see in issue #12.

The writing as well as the artwork in this book is amazing!  Whenever I get my new comics, I make sure to read the Green Lantern Corps books first.  If you are a lantern fan, you will enjoy this title.  I give this issue a 10 out of 10 rating.
