A few days ago, I posted an interview I did with an artist named G Wayne who uses body paint to create art.  In that interview I mentioned a cosplayer by the name of Ivy Cosplay that he worked with for a Nightcrawler set.  Well, It is only natural that I have the following cosplay interview be that of Ivy Cosplay herself.  I first saw her cosplay work as a body painted Stormtrooper.  Then when I found her FB page, I noticed this lady is very talented and the world should know of her talents.  so, here is my interview with Ivy Cosplay.

1. Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Ivette, but my friends call me Ivy. I was born in the Caribbean from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Moved to the states 14 yrs. ago and started cosplaying since August 2012 on the Star Wars Celebration VI Con.

2. How did you discover cosplay?

I always like to dress up. I started with Lara Croft about 3 yrs. ago, I only used to wear them for Halloween. But then after I went to Star Wars Celebration VI everything change.

3. I really love your alternative Princess Leia cosplay. What made you choose that version of Leia?

I always like to give a different touch to the character I cosplay. And when I saw the Nicole Brune ( nicolebrune.deviantart.com/art/Rebel-Tattoo-Parlor-319156087 ) version of Princess Leia I told to myself that I have to do it. Is something different from what everyone else do. It gave Leia a dark touch, like she has a part of her father in her.

4. I have also noticed that you have cosplayed by using the technique of body paint. What made you use choose that method?

Its something different and sexier, it started doing it with Nick Wolfe just for an abstract art. But with Mandi Ilene (Stormtrooper, Catwoman and Cheetah) and Lori (Viper from movie Doomsday) I have model with several body painting cosplays.

 5. What other genres do you cosplay?

Genres I have cosplayed include, comics, television, film, movies, and gaming.

6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?

I go to conventions to have fun. I walk around the booths, hang out with friend and model for pics of the fans. I love to talk to people, so if anyone see me on a Con, don’t be shy and talk to me. I went to MegaCon, Orlando Comic Expo and going to May-Hem from Spooky Empire next. I also do photo shoots of my cosplays and some modeling.

 7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?

Yes I don’t some modeling for photo shooting, but no in the professional level.

8. What are your plans for the future?

Keep doing more cosplay (planning on Michonne and several others), sew more costumes, go to Con and make more friends.

9. Where can my readers see more examples of your work?

They can find me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/IvetteCosplay and also on DA ivy95.deviantart.com/

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?

I have two. Catwoman and Lara Croft for their adventurous spirits and the strong personalities they have.
