As a collector of Horror and music memorabilia plus comics it was hard to pinpoint my ‘holy grail’, but after much thought I’d have to say it was the two 1977 KISS comics. As a KISS fanatic and a collector of comics these have to be my most sought after items, especially the infamous ‘blood’ comic. I know they can be found these days on sites such as eBay but it’s hard to find them in great condition, plus the fact I’m nearly always broke doesn’t help either, not that it would make a difference as they’re usually very expensive. I hope to own them one day but for now I’ll stick to the current KISS comics series.

Hmmm, what is my Holy Grail? Well, I actually have 2. The things I want to obtain before I leave the physical realm is a NM to VF Werewolf by Night #32 and the Amazing Spider-Man #129. These two issues mean so much to me because it is the birth of two of my favorite heroes, Moon Knight and the Punisher.

In Werewolf by Night #32, Moon Knight debuts and seems to be the man to tame the beast. In this classic battle, Moon Knight would gather a fan base that would lead to several miniseries, countless volumes of ongoing series, and his status as an Avenger, especially in the West Coast. Some people argue that he is the Marvel Universe version of Batman, which I see as the ultimate compliment.

Then there’s the Amazing Spider-Man #129, which of course introduced us to everyone’s favorite “anti-hero”, the Punisher. What can I say that you don’t already know? The Punisher is a bad, bad man and if you break a law, you might as well say your prayers. To quote Gun n Roses,” You’re in the jungle baby, you’re going to die!” He is everything you want in justice. The Punisher has made many appearances in major titles, as well as several movies, and quite a few kick ass video games. So you cannot go wrong with Frank Castle.

So there you have it, my two Holy Grails. What would you say is yours?

What’s my holy grail? Well like the grail in ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ mine is a cup for a carpenter. I have always been a Rockstar junkie. No I don’t mean James Hetfield or Keith Richards I mean the real Rockstars, I mean Rockstar games. I have been playing these uber-violent, politically incorrect and often offensive games religiously since Rockstar first empowered me with the ability to wage digital war on the fine officers of Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto 3. While GTA is number one on my list of video game series’ Red Dead Redemption is my favorite game ever made. So my ‘Holy Grail’ wold be having a part in the creation of this incredible, open-world, western’s sequel.

“Wait I thought Rockstar said there would be no sequel to Red Dead?” Yes this is true at one point Rockstar did dash my hopes and shatter my soul by declaring they would not be creating a sequel but cryptic answers to fan chat has hinted that Rockstar is indeed not dumb enough to shelve a franchise that won game of the year from almost every major outlet in the year of its release. Considering the first game ended in the year 1911 there isn’t much real world time left in history for a true sequel however there are many years ahead of it for an incredible prequel.

A little bit about me; I can’t write programs, I have no drawing or drafting ability and I have not the slightest clue about working for a major corporation. What I can do is shoot you in Rockstar multiplayer 5 times to 1. What I can do is beat the entire story of GTA 4 in exactly six hours and fourteen minutes. I am the uber-fan. I am their demographic manifested in the flesh and I know what they are trying to do almost as well as they do I would imagine. So my grail would be sitting in brainstorming sessions and assisting the directors and artists and helping dream up game concepts, helping test the game and being part of the promotional blitz, playing the game in front of audiences at conventions and such. This has been a personal day-dream of mine since I took a GTA 4 clan to the semi-finals in 2008’s Gamebattles tournament and I would probably gush like a 14 year old girl at a Twilight premier if I got to meet the infamous Dan Houser and his crew.
We all have a Grail and mine is one fit for a carpenter.

What is my holy grail? I would have to say it would be the R34 GTR Nissan Skyline. I’ve never refered to it as my holy grail, she has always been my unicorn. I have always had a passion for cars, imports mostly, but when I first saw a R34 that was it I was in love. Not only is it a beautiful piece of machinery but its a beast as well. The 2001 R34 GTR came of the line with a twin turbo inline 6 producing 280-327 HP and 293-397 torque. Well there she is my holy grail, unicorn, Eleanor, what ever you want to call it.

Mine is easy, mostly because I already got my holy grail … original 1963 X-Men #1!!! Got it few years ago as a present from my awesome wife. While the X-Men series are my favorite comics of all time, I never thought in a million years I would get the chance to own a piece of comic history but I always thought (or dreamed) about owning it. I’m blown away every time I see it hanging on my wall. On top on owning this amazing comic this past year at the New Orleans Wizard World Comic Con (see pics of us there HERE) I was able to meet Stan “The Man” Lee and get him to sign it!!! Dream come true.
