This is by far the hardest question so far, I have so many answers to this question that I could go on and on and on and on….You get the point, but seeing as I have no choice but to only have one answer then I have to go with “X – Files” Issue: O from Topps Comics. I’m a HUGE “X-Files” nerd and to see one of my all time favourite shows converted into comic form made me giddy with excitement, I remember reading it from cover to cover before I even got back home and since then I’ve never missed an issue. It was my first serious step into collecting comic books and I owe it all to this one single comic, I really hope to see more issues released in the future as I just can’t get enough.

My favorite single issue comic is Marvel Team-Up # 144 starring Moon Knight and Spider-Man. The villain in this issue is the White Dragon. I know some of you may be shocked at my selection but this issue has always meant a lot to me. Why? Well, because it was published at an important time in my life. I got this issue from a K&B drugstore in Baton Rouge, LA during the summer of 1984. I was hanging out with my best friend anticipating what 4th grade will be like when we decided to walk to the store and buy comics.

This issue is the first issue of the Marvel Team-Up series I ever bought. I got hooked on the story and I started collecting Team-Ups from then on. But the main reason I love this issue so much, is the fact that it was my introduction to Moon Knight. I loved the character’s look and story so much that I became a Moon Knight fan for life. Another reason I love this story so much is the panel when we see Spider-Man’s costume leaps into action (see image below). This issue means the world to me. So much so that I bought several copies including the first and second printings since that glorious summer of ’84. And just so you know, this comic is the reason I do what I do today.

My favorite single issues of a comic is  New Avengers #22. I know way out there random comic right … well Luke Cage as been one of my favorite characters for years now, years … like since he wore a yellow shirt and tiara. Well in the issue Iron Man (Pro-Reg) tries to get Luke Cage (Anti-Reg) to register for the Superhuman Registration Act, he pretty much tells him to fuck off and sends his family (Jessica Jones and his child) to Canada for safety and sits and waits for the Superhuman Registration Act to become the law. Knowing full well they will come and arrest him … he sits and waits for them the come through his door refusing to leave his home and give in to them. They come for him and he and Cap beat their asses.  Great issue and sets up Cage as a front runner in the Marvel Universe. Really I could have put one of a million comics in this spot but this one stuck out to me, its the one comic hanging on my wall that isn’t worth a lot of money or a 1st appearance or really nothing special other than I really like it. So in ending … Sweet Christmas!!!!
