Well folks, there you have it. The entire “Hatchet” series review.

It’s been so much fun looking over this franchise.

This series was responsible for not only re-igniting the slasher genre but for re-igniting my love for it, it’s always been my favourite sub-genre but this release saw my passion for it burn bright once again and I’d like to thank Adam Green for that.

Talking of Adam Green he certainly knows how to make an entrance, he burst onto the scene with this film and has gone on to give us some other amazing releases (apart from the “Hatchet” series) such as “Spiral”, “Frozen” and his hilarious TV series “Holliston” all of which I highly recommend. I’d also like to applaud his ‘No CGI’ rule, it definitely worked in his favour.

The series developed an amazing following, known as the ‘Hatchet Army’, the fans are highly loyal to the series and were highly integral in the beginning of it all. It’s been a long time since I saw a Horror film have such fan backing as this series did, especially in the beginning but it definitely worked.

As usual there has been rumblings about a “Hatchet 4”, who knows how that’d work, maybe a voodoo cult bring him back to life. Either way I’d personally like to think we had a proper ending to a great trilogy and leave it be., it may have similarities to “Friday the 13th” including the legendary Kane Hodder but I don’t want to see “Hatchet 7: Winter Time”.

“Hatchet” is a truly great series that is more than worth your time, if blood, boobs, humour and more blood are your thing then you need to get on this one now.
