After the events at Lake Victoria, the pre-historic school of blood-thirsty piranhas make their way into a newly opened waterpark.

Well believe it or not “Piranha 3D” was a hit, so inevitably we got a sequel.

Untitled

How this sequel ever got the green light is a mystery, the studio must’ve thought it was the high amount of nudity that was the popular aspect of “Piranha 3D” so made that their priority for this release and it makes for some awkward viewing.

As much as I wasn’t a fan of “Piranha 3D” the one thing it did do well was full on gore and brutal death scenes, with this feature they’ve taken more of a backseat to the insane amounts of sexual content where you start to wonder what you’re actually watching.

Piranha-3DD-2012

Despite clocking in at a small time of just over 70 minutes (Over 80 if you count the credits with out-takes) it feels even longer and not in a good way. It just dragged on and on and I just couldn’t wait for it to end. It’s just sleazy film-making.

As well as sleazy film-making, it really did feel like it was written by a group of hormone raged teenagers, it was also lazy film-making. The big shock again was casting with Christopher Lloyd actually returning, thought he would’ve stayed away after the first film.
