Well folks, there you have it. The entire “The Slumber Party Massacre” series review

It’s been great looking over this fun franchise.

If any of you are wondering why “Cheerleader Massacre” isn’t included in the series review it’s because I don’t consider this release a part of the franchise, I’m sorry if you where wanting a review of it but I can tell you now it wouldn’t have been a good one.

I honestly believe this series is highly under-rated, The first entry is a classic, the second entry was a bit too wacky for my liking but I get why people like it and the third entry was a return to a simple but effective story. There has definitely been worse series than this one.

It’s a franchise that never took itself too seriously and knew the exact audience it was going for and it pulled off, the first film is still a favourite amongst many Horror fans out there, myself included and the second film is still talked about for it’s crazy dream sequences and even though I wasn’t fond of it I do admit that the driller guitar was a killer weapon (pun intended).

One thing I truly love about this trilogy is the fact that all three films were directed by Women – Amy Holden Jones, Deborah Brock and Sally Mattison. The first entry was also wrote by feminist Rita Mae Brown and she did a fantastic job, also don’t forget that it was Roger Corman who was the one to get the film out there and even served as a Producer on the two sequels.

“The Slumber Party Massacre” series is fun and trashy and most definitely worth your time, go and give it a whirl and enjoy the cheese-fest that it is.
