An inheritance leads a young man and his friends to an abandoned resort inhabited by two sketchy caretakers and a clan of mutant cannibals.

By now you wondered why the series was still going.

By now the well had seriously run dry and the only curiosity you had about it was what the hell they were going to do this time. Well that’s quickly answered, the studio decided to go with the old ‘sex sells’ and give us a soft porn/horror.

I’d also like to point out how bad the make up work is on the “freaks”, holy crap is it bad! It looks like a bunch of toddlers had some fun with paper mache and paint, you seriously wonder how they made it on screen, even for low budget it’s bad.

The studio this time decided to change the writer and director and it’s a case of be careful what you wish for as writer Frank H. Woodward gives us something that a hormone ravaged boy wrote with awful character and Director Valeri Milev does no better.

The actors in this film are seriously amateur, when you think of the cast from the first film all the way down to this… Well. Some English fans might notice Roxanne Pallett, another actress who does an awful American accent.

“Wrong Turn 6 – Last Resort” is, well it’s just plain awful, avoid if you can.

Miscellaneous facts about the film

When Jillian and Bryan go to the market Zac Efron can be seen in a missing sign.

Talitha Luke-Eardley is the third actor from Game of Thrones to appear in the “Wrong Turn” series. The other two being Roxanne McKee and Finn Jones, who both appear in Wrong Turn 5.

Radoslav Parvanov is the fifth actor to portray Three Finger. He also portrayed his brother One Eye in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines.

One of the first script drafts for the film had different plot which was very similar to The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) plot. Instead of just killing all the females at the Resort, deformed cannibals wanted to capture them to use them as breeders. This was also hinted in the fifth film.

A majority of the movie was filmed at Rakovski Defence and Staff College, a military academy, in Sofia, Bulgaria. The building’s interiors and exteriors were redesigned to look like a real old-fashioned hotel.

About twenty minutes into the film when the sheriff is talking to Jillian and Bryan, he hangs up a missing persons poster of the old woman whom the mutants killed the previous day. If you pause the movie at the exact time he hangs it up you can see that the poster states the day she disappeared was November 23, 2013, the day before the main events of the film. This proves the film is not a prequel to the original and explains why we see several characters using IPhones and GoPro cameras.

When Vic finds Jillian’s suitcase behind the front desk, the luggage tag reads 325 5th Avenue, New York, NY. This address belongs to BonChon Chicken, a Korean fried chicken restaurant. This later proves to be a foreshadowing of the character’s demise.
