If Boba Fett is one of your favorite characters in the Star Wars universe, then this is the title for you.  Star Wars: Blood Ties: Boba Fett is dead takes us on a journey in the assassination attempt of Boba fett.  In issue #1, we believe he is dead and an associate of his has taken revenge against Fett’s killers.  Issue #2 lets us realize that Fett is very much alive and is taking care of those who tried to erase him from the universe.

Isuue #3 gets more complicated.  As we have seen in issues # 1 & 2, one of Fett’s associates is the son of a Jango Fett clone known as Connor Freeman.  Fett sends Connor to Concord Dawn to watch over his wife and daughter while he finishes his plot of revenge.  Issue #2 has Fett crash landing on an Imperial base on Blackfel.  As he tries to leave the scene, he bumps into Vader.  His disguise is so good he is able to fool Vader at the moment.

Meanwhile on Concord Dawn, Connor and Fett’s family are under attack.  Connor does what he can to help them but he finds out they were ok on their own.  Back on Blackfel, Boba’s disguise is seen through by a group of troopers, but they do not know who he is.  They never will since Boba takes care of them without a sweat.  Fett takes a prisoner and leaves Blackfel with his new Intel.  Meanwhile Connor is making himself too much at home and realizes he may be a dead man when Boba returns.

This series has been exciting from issue #1.  The writing is great, the artwork is fantastic, and it truly follows in the way of the Star Wars franchise.  I give this book a strong 10 out of 10.  If you are a fan of the Fett you need to pick up the first three issues as well as the remaining issues to follow.
