This is the 17th Issue of the SomewhatNerdy Radio Podcast and it is a One-Shot were we talk about how (maybe?) the Scooby-Doo cartoon from the 60s influenced the slasher genre of horror movies in the late 70s and 80s.

Speical thanks to Scott Innes (the voice of Scooby-Doo) for the SomewhatNerdy shout out!

Make sure to go and check out The Bloodlust Podcast. A very awesome horror podcast that explains horror movies way better than we can.

  1. Monster from the Surf, aka Beach Girls and the Monster; is a movie from 1965. The premise of the movie is that these pesky kids are hanging out on the beach when a sea monster begins to kill them off. The monster is in actuality the wealthy uncle of one of the teeny boppers who Don’s a costume in order to run the kids off from his beach, and if murder need to be the way that happens, so be it. Boom!
