From the creative mind of Bendis and his team of talented artists comes a story of a world dominated by Ultron. What would you do if you had to save humanity? Well, that is a question that is asked of our heroes over and over again in this “What if?’ scenario. As we saw in Book One, Ultron won. The Earth was his to rule and anyone in his way is annihilated. As we left this issue we see what appears to be a broken leader with no plan of action.
In Book Two we find Moon Knight and the Black Widow in a battle for their lives. They manage to escape by using one of Fury’s secret bunkers. They eventually catch up to the rest of the team and a plan is formed. One that unfortunately ends in a major loss to the Avengers roster. Fast forward to Books Five and Six and you will se that time travel is involved.
I am not going to tell you anymore because I do not want to ruin the stories for you. I will however give every issue a strong 8 to 9 out of 10 rating and strongly suggest that you read this series. I haven’t been reading the side stories in crossover issues like F4 and Spider-Man, but I am sure they are good as well. I will wait for the collected trade before I see those stories.
