In case you haven’t read A vs. X yet, The Avengers/X-men war is over. Both teams teamed together to put Cyclops down and end his madness. Cyclops is now a fugitive with only Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik on his side. They travel the world trying to save mutants from all of mankind. He appears that Xavier’s dream will be destroyed by the man who killed him. Now let’s get to what is happening now.
Issue #1 begins with Hank going through some pain which he concludes is another mutation. While he is trying to get a hold of himself, Storm calls for him because there appears to be an incident in Australia they need to contain. What is that incident? The discovery of a very powerful mutant and unfortunately for the X-men, Cyclops and his team are there to “recruit” her.
After Australia, Cyclops and his fellow “revolutionaries” go to the state of Michigan to save another powerful mutant. There, Cyclops leaves a message for the world and the X-men know that he has to be put down. Bobby and Hank know Scott the best and cannot believe how he abandoned Xavier’s dream the way he did. Something Bobby said triggered and idea for Hank to stop Scott for causing a war. What was that idea? Well, Hank aka the Beast goes in the past to recruit the original X-men, mainly Scott, to go in the future and talk some sense in his future self.
This title is truly X-citing! This will definitely be a title I will pick up every time a new issue hits the shelves. The writing style is true to the way a comic book should be written and the artwork is absolutely amazing! This issue is a perfect 10, but I am giving it a rating of 15 out of 10 for its debut. I would suggest you get a copy and judge for yourself.
