It’s the 4th day of our post 2014 SDCC extravaganza and I have a great cosplay interview in store for you. This one comes to us from Russia with love. You Star Wars fans are going to want to see her other cosplays after reading this interview. She is very talented at what she does. Her name is Stasy Sallozare and you will absolutely fall in love with her sense of style and the way she brings life to her cosplays. Cosplay fans all over the world, I am proud to share my interview with the lovely Stasy Sallozare.
1. Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Stasy and I’m from Russia, Moscow. I’m a student at Moscow State Linguistic University, cosplayer, pole dancer, costume designer and an absolute geek.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
My sister took me to the cosplay festival in 2010 and when I saw all these people in costumes, I realized that this is what I have been looking for a loooong time!
3. I love your many Star Wars cosplays, do you have a favorite?
Oh, I think yes, I have a few. One is my Jack Skelington cosplay of course (I was dressed like this, even at the Comic Con Paris in July 2013). My other favorite look is twi’lek slave girl (I think all my twi’lek costumes are my favorites in fact).
4. What other genres have you cosplayed?
My first cosplays was Undertaker from anime Kuroshitsuji and Okita Souji from Hakuouki, then I loved japan anime and manga solo muchhh and that time I preferred to cosplay boys because I’m quite tall and thin. Now, I like sci-fi movies and series or original cosplay and I make mostly girl cosplays.
5. How do you like to show off a new look?
Well… I have Instagram page and sometimes I posting there some stuff, my costumes in progress, back stages from my photo shoots or simply photos) I post some like previews. Now, I visit conventions not that very often.
6. When you are not cosplaying, what are some of your other hobbies?
Ha ha, it was a terrible time I was a basketball player, I had my own team. I also played volleyball and also horse riding, I love horses and all the time I read books!! Now I have no time and money for horses because it is very expensive in Russia now. I do not play basketball, but I still often read and play volleyball at the beach ha ha.
7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?
I’m costume designer so I have a lot of projects, I always sew something mostly it is fashion projects or original costumes like my Blue Dragon or Black Evil Queen.
8. What are your plans for the future?
For the future… I wanna go to Paris to study, but first I must finish my university here, in Moscow, of course. Hmm, well I want to learn three languages at least, Spanish, German and Italian. And I love to travel! I want to see as much as possible! Especially Italy, Germany, Canada! I travel regularly to Paris, I love that city and in general I love France! I speak French not bad. My French and Canadian friends say that I speak French very well but I think I’m not super-good. In fact I know French better than English, so I’m very sorry for my language. During the summer I will go to Paris again to see old friends, meet someone new. Once there go to Barcelona, Brussels and Amsterdam!
9. Where can my readers see more examples of your work?
I have Instagram page instagram.com/sallozare here are photos from my real life, my pole dance training, backstage etc.
also I have DA page for my photos in fullsize! dobbisallozare.deviantart.com (NSFW)

Go, Stasy! Go!
