Searching for a missing student, two private investigators break into his house and find collection of VHS tapes. Viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be dark motives behind the student’s disappearance.
Last year a Horror anthology film called “V/H/S” was released and it was one of my favourite films of the year. I do love a good anthology Horror film and “V/H/S” had fantastic stories that took inspiration from many Horror genres, so you can imagine I was very pleased when the news came out that a sequel was in the works.
With this sequel there are less Directors (“V/H/S” had ten, “S-VHS” has five). We have Simon Barrett who helped write two segments for “V/H/S” and has wrote films such as “Dead Birds” and although he doesn’t have a-lot of Directing experience it’ll be interesting to see what he delivers. Another returnee is Adam Wingard who directed segment “Tape 56”. We have new comer Jason Eisener who Directed Horror short “Treevenge” and the awesome “Hobo with a Shotgun”. Another newcomer is Gregg Hale who has Produced films such as “The Blair Witch Project”, “Altered” and “Lovely Molly” and lastly Eduardo Sánchez, who has worked as Director alongside Gregg Hale with “Altered” and “Lovely Molly”. I for one am really looking forward to this release and the trailer looks fantastic.
