After learning of an urban legend in which a demented serial killer named SMILEY can be summoned through the Internet, mentally fragile Ashley must decide whether she is losing her mind or becoming Smiley’s next victim.
I’ve been hearing about this movie for some time now, it seemed to be one of those films that gets talked about so much but never made. News on the film may seem small compared to the abundance of news we get on other films nowadays, we’ve been given a few pictures, a trailer, a storyline and casting, but I think it’s just enough to leave us curious and wanting to know more.
The casting looks great, we’ve got Roger Bart who you may remember from films such as “Hostel II”, “The Midnight Meat Train” and more including lots of TV work. There’s also Andrew James Allen, a young actor with a bright future, he was great in “The Loved Ones” and a fantastic addition that I’m excited about is Keith David who you should remember from “The Thing”, “They Live” and many more. It’s a great mixture of youth and experience.
I like story of Smiley, it seems like a “Candyman” story for the modern technological age. If this still doesn’t grab your attention then you have to atleast admit that, that is one killer mask (pun intended). To see the trailer for yourself just click on the video below:
