Arkin escapes with his life from the vicious grips of “The Collector” during an entrapment party where he adds beautiful Elena to his “Collection.” Instead of recovering from the trauma, Arkin is suddenly abducted from the hospital by mercenaries hired by Elena’s wealthy father. Arkin is blackmailed to team up with the mercenaries and track down The Collector’s booby trapped warehouse and save Elena.
When “The Collector” was first released back in 2009 I was so happy that an adult oriented Horror film had been made in a time full of teenage friendly releases, it was also a film where I thought that a sequel would be great which is a rarity for me. The first film was full of suspense and cringe inducing scenes that when the film finished I found my muscles were so tight, it was a feeling I hadn’t had for years and I loved it!
I’m glad to see that Marcus Dunstan back in the directors chair, he did a great job on the first film and hopefully will carry the same tone over that made “The Collector” so good. I’m also glad to see Josh Stewart return to the role of ‘Arkin’, he was fantastic and I’m happy to see his story progress and finally find out what happened to him. I’ve been waiting 3 years for this film and from the trailer it looks like it hopefully won’t disappoint , if it’s good we could see a new Horror franchise in the making.
