It is the glorious return of FLASHback Friday and I couldn’t be happier about today’s post. First of all, let me apologize for my absence the past few weeks. Between the holidays, work, and some personal business, I have been one busy NERD. I promise you that I will be able to post at least once a week, but I am trying for twice a week for my minimum. Anyway, I figured I let enough time pass so that I could do a Flash review without spoiling the mid-season finale for anybody. Really, if you haven’t seen t yet, it is not my fault if I spoil anything.
First, let me say that the CW and the writers of the Flash have done one hell of a job to bring the Flash to life. I mean, out of all the comic book/superhero related movies or shows, the Flash ranks number one in my book. I love the story writing as well as the “realism” the show portrays. The show really pulls you in and convinces you that these events could have happened. Another thing I like about the show is the introduction of other characters from the DC Universe including, Grodd, Reverse Flash, Captain Cold, and of course Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm.
Now, let us focus on the mid-season finale shall we? I have to say, when I watched the finale, I was filled with NERDgasm after NERDgasm. I mean, we finally had the show down between Reverse Flash and Barry, we had an appearance from Firestorm, and we finally realize who the Reverse Flash was or do we? I mean, we are left with Dr. Wells visiting his Reverse Flash suit in his “fortress of solitude” and wishing the Reverse Flash a Merry Christmas (of course the message was for the viewers). But what exactly does that mean? Is Dr. Wells the Reverse Flash or is he just in business with him? Some fans do not believe he is the Reverse Flash just because he was beaten up by him. But I say it is possible because we already know that Dr. Wells, if anything is from the future so anything is possible. All I can say is you have to make that decision for yourself.
