Greetings my fellow Nerds,
I have so many cosplay interviews to share with you that I couldn’t wait until Monday to release the next one. The following cosplayer is simply amazing! You may know him as Spidey or Green Lantern, but I know him as Terrance aka Amazing T. I have been a fan of his for a while and through some mutual friends, I was able to get an interview with this talented cosplayer. After reading this interview and looking at his work, you to will call him AMAZING!
1. Who are you and where are you from?
I am something that you’ll never understand. I’m Batman. Just kidding, my name is Terrance and I am from the United States of America, currently living in California, born in Michigan.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I think that cosplay discovered me actually. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid. Does that count? Well, adult wise, I got a job being Spider-man and it kind of grew from there. I started making my own Spidey masks after trying to improve on the liscensed one I was wearing for work.
3. I really love your Spider-Man cosplay. What made you choose him?
Thank you very much. I’ve always been a big Spider-man fan, but I feel like it chose me. Being Spider-man started as a job and then I just really enjoyed it. Bringing smiles to all the Spidey fans (adults and kids alike) I can relate to Spider-man’s idea of “the right thing to do” and the fact that he does the right thing while having every day problems to deal with.
4. Who is your favorite hero to cosplay?
Of the characters that I cosplay Spider-man is the favorite because of several reasons, but thats another story.
5. Do you have any plans to cosplay a character you haven’t done yet?
Yes. Yes I do plan on cosplaying a character I haven’t done yet. I plan on doing a cosplay from Joss Whedon’s Firefly.
6. What is your favorite way to show off your cosplay?
It’s always been more about fun for me, but it has become something I like to show off. My favorite way is with lots of friends in a group gathering and photo shoot.
7. I also love your John Stewart, Green Lantern cosplay. How did that idea come about?
Well. I had only been doing multiple types of Spider-man cosplay and started thinking about other characters I like that I believed that I could portray well. Also, I wanted it to be a mask-less character. Green Lantern John Stewart came to mind because of not only liking the character, but having things in common with him, i.e. hometown, USMC, ethnicity so I thought, “Why not?” I hope that I have done him justice.
8. What are your plans for the future?
If you mean plans for the future in cosplay, then I can’t reveal much. A few old costume updates, photo shoots, a few new costumes. You can look for a great photo shoot I will be a part of at Dragon*Con 2013, with the superhero costuming forum (the SCF) JLA/Avengers!

10. Marvel or DC? What title(s) do you read the most?
I love both publishing companies actually. I do read more Marvel Comics though to be honest. Amazing Spider-man, any Avengers title, Green Lantern Corps, Justice League and Batman. This fluctuates with storylines and what I like most at any given time.
Thanks for taking the time to talk with me. Thanks to all those that take the time to read this and check out my page. I hope to see you all at a con in the near future!
