It’s time for another interview with a talented and beautiful cosplayer. Today we have a treat all the way from Argentina. Her name is Analía and she is very talented. To see how talented, I recommend that you go to her deviant art page and look at her showcase of cosplays. There are just too many for me to share in one post. With that said, here is my interview with Analía.
1. Who are you and where are you from?
Hello, my name is Analía and I’m from Argentina. I am 25 years old. I am a chef (food services) and now I am forming professionally as an actress in theater and musical comedy.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I discovered “ cosplay” thanks to the internet by searching photos of “Yuna” from Final Fantasy X. One day I found a girl dressed like her, and I began to investigate why, and I discovered that in some parts of the world, people dressed like fantasy characters and show them in events related to manga, anime, fiction, etc. and i’ve said: I WANT TO DO THAT TOO! and so I did. I started in the year 2000.
3. I really love your Power Girl cosplay. What made you choose her?
My big boobs and my very bad humor, just like her. (LoL) Beyond my body resemblance (which I believe that I have), she is one of the most powerful superheroines, in personality, badass, and just plain lovely . I enjoy seeing her in action and I was very happy to be her for a while. Lover her so much, that’s the reason.
4. Have you cosplayed other comic characters?
Yes, Storm and dark phoenix from x-men, and scarlet witch, but I didn’t use it yet.
5. What other genres do you cosplay?
I have done cosplays of anime and manga, original design, zombie characters (I don’t know if this is a genre), video games and cartoons (these last two are my favourites to recreate)
6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?
I do both. Today, I enjoy photos shoots more, but I go to events to experience i’ts magic.
When I was younger, I was more often to go events and participate more. Now, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends more and organizing photo shoots.
7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?
I’m an actress (or at least I try) and if I may, I do photo shoots for businesses or work as a pinup model for events. I do not consider myself as a model, so, when they invite me to work, I use everything I know about acting and performed the work from that side.
8. What are your plans for the future?
My projects related to cosplays are always very uncertain. Today I have in my head a thousand ideas , and tomorrow they grow to two thousand or four, you never know. Its like many things in life, something that you can’t really plan for the future . You have to love an idea and implement it, because if you aren’t, everything is half done.
9. Where can my readers see more examples of your work?
10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?
I must say that I have a lot of favorites for different reasons. By clothing, my favorite is “Rydia of Mist” from Final Fantasy IV. I did it in the year 2004 completely by hand!!! Today is the day that I use it, and I make something new, because there is a Yoshitaka Amano artbook version, I can create a lot, and that’s why I love him. As for feelings, I must say that Yuna, because it was my first cosplay, and I have too much affection.
And undoubtedly , Velma from scooby doo was the most fun to use.
