Greetings fellow Nerds! It’s time once again for one of my cosplay interviews that you love so well. Today’s cosplayer is Jennifer Kairis and she is a cosplayer from the West Coast. When you finish this interview, make sure to show her some love and like her page. So let’s get started shall we? Ladies and Gentlemen, my interview with the one and only Jennifer Kairis.
1. Who are you and where are you from?
I am Jennifer Kairis and currently reside in Los Angeles California
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I discovered cosplay while living in Japan. I would see all the boys and girls my age and older dressing up like their favorite anime or superhero. I thought it was so cool.
3. I really love your vampire cosplay. How did that cosplay develop?
It’s actually a take on Elizabeth Bathory. She is kind of known as the first female vampire in history. She was a Hungarian countess who murdered women for fun and bathed in their blood to keep up her youthful appearance. So I figured, if she were alive and kicking today, what would be wearing and what would she be like? I thought after centuries of drinking blood to keep herself young and living in this day in age, she would want to show off a bit of skin.
4. I have also noticed that you have cosplayed a pretty kick ass Harley Quinn from the
Arkham games. What made you choose that version of Harley?
I’m a big fan of video games, love playing them. So I tend to gravitate to video game versions of characters I like.
5. What other genres do you cosplay?
I like do all kinds, video games for sure, comic book, historical, I also have been getting into steampunk. I did a steampunk cheshire cat and that was fun to play. I liked it so much that I already have another steampunk cosplay in the works.
6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?
I definitely go to conventions if I can! I love showing off my costume and I love all the little geeky odds and ends that you discover at conventions and can’t find anywhere else.
7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?
I use too, I have modeled for the car import scene and have been featured in ‘Makes and Models’ magazine and ‘Exotic Import’ Magazine and worked Hot Import Nights and SEMA. I’ve modeled clothes and swimsuits as well but it’s not as fun as cosplay modeling.
8. What are your plans for the future?
Just to keep on cosplaying until I can’t anymore. I love to be creative, so putting together a costume or setting up a photo shoot is stuff I love to do and I just want to keep doing more of it.
9. Where can my readers see more examples of your work?

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?
Probably, my vampire shoot, the photographer managed to get some cool action shots and I got to work with movie blood. It was so realistic.
