An old mirror from the haunted Long Island house finds its way into a photographer’s family where the evil soon manifests itself to cause more terror and mayhem.

Another year passes, another “Amityville” film gets released.

Following on the cursed furniture theme we go into the seventh release of the series and it’s noticeable that things are getting, well, lets just say sloppy. like a-lot of lower budget films in the 90’s we see a young, struggling artist in a stereotypical setting and things start to go wrong.

Another release sees another Director take the reigns, this time it’s John Murlowski (yeah, me neither) he seems to have made a career out of dog and Christmas movies and a few sci-fi films, judging from this film I’m glad he strayed from the Horror genre.

To be fair the film isn’t THAT bad, it teeters on the line of ‘so bad it’s good’ but it’s terribly flawed. It does have one memorable scene (pictured above) but that isn’t enough to warrant watching the film in this day and age with the likes of YouTube you can just watch that clip.

The acting is stiff but the problem is that if it didn’t take itself too seriously then it would be quite fun to watch but once again each scene is overacted and with it trying to be so serious just becomes laughable.

“Amityville: A New Generation” is not worth your time, only view it if you want to be able to say you’ve watched them all.
