Jacob Sterling brings home a mysterious clock from the infamous Amityville house, not knowing that it’s haunted by demonic spirits.
After the bad run of sequels I seriously wasn’t expecting much from addition.
When I read the plot for the film I thought we were going to have another “Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes”, but luckily I was wrong and we were actually given something decent to watch.
Director Tony Randel directed “Hellbound: Hellraiser II” and you can see his touch on this release as it delves into a-lot of weird situations and has a quirky atmosphere to it.
Despite not being set in the Amityville house itself we are treated to a peculiar film and the storytelling is finally getting better once again and nearing the quality we’re used to from the series.
The cast is nothing special but they do enough to keep your attention and the movie watchable, something that has been seriously lacking in the last couple of releases and it’s a nice welcome return to form, almost refreshing to see.
“Amityville: It’s About Time” is a kooky film and is highly entertaining, it’s definitely worth a try if you haven’t seen it before.
