Judith Grey teams with Brick Bardo (Dollman) and his girlfriend Ginger to face the evil Demonic Toys for one final battle.
The killer doll theme continues with this crossover film.
This feature is a crossover of three Full Moon films – “Dollman”, “Demonic Toys” and “Bad Channels”, it’s not necessary to watch the other films but I recommend you do anyway as they are definitely worth your time, especially for fans of b-movies.
As I said it’s not necessary to watch the other films as a large portion of the footage used is recycled from the films “Dollman” , “Bad Channels”, and “Demonic Toys”. Scenes were edited into the film as flashbacks as to connect the three films together, it can get annoying but definitely needed.
We get a new toy called ‘Zombietoid’, a funny take on the “G.I. Joe” toys. Unfortunately it’s the only time we get to see him, he was a fun character. One of the funniest scenes is when ‘Baby Oopsy Daisy’ attempts rape, if you’ve seen the film you know what I mean.
My biggest gripe with this flick is the running time, clocking in at 64 minutes you feel shortchanged. Especially when the film is made up of flashbacks from three films, there could have been so much more story to it all and as fun as it is it just is really, really short which ruins things a bit.
“Dollman vs. Demonic Toys” is tons of fun but like I stated it’s just too short.
Miscellaneous facts about the film:
In the film, Baby Oopsy-Daisy is wearing blue clothes. But, in the poster his clothes are pink.
Grizzly Teddy does not appear in the film.
Dollman quotes “Pop goes the weasel!” when he blows off Jack Attack’s head with his 596.8 Ruger handgun. “Pop goes the weasel!” is a nursery rhyme and singing game, which The jack-in-the-box children’s toy often plays the melody.
Tim Thomerson, Melissa Behr and Tracey Scoggins agreed to reprise their roles.
The Demonic Toys would not bee seen again until the 2004 crossover film “The Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys”.
The only appearance of Zombietoid.
