You voted for it, you got it! Well here we go…
In all honesty I didn’t know what to expect when I first viewed this, the trailer reminded me of those awful slasher film attempts that happened in the nineties. So with that in mind my hopes were somewhat low going into this flick but fortunately for me, I was surprised.
Admittedly the plot is nothing original but not to worry because that doesn’t mean it’s any less entertaining. It seems to take it’s characters and scenes and push them over the line just that little bit so there believable but yet more animated which perfectly fits the film.
The film features some fun death scenes which is always a bonus for Horror fans, it definitely shows it’s influences that any fan of the Slasher genre will start to pick up on from the first scene. This is a film that will even make a hardcore Horror fan smile, I know it happened to me.
The cast do a brilliant job and they seem to be having a blast making this feature which I personally feels always helps and the sets burst out of the screen at you making for a great atmosphere. Director Jacob Gentry does a fantastic job and once again shows his talents that we saw in his earlier work.
“My Super Psycho Sweet 16” is better than it deserves to be, give it a viewing and see for yourself.
