Well folks, there you have it. The entire “My Super Psycho Sweet 16” review
It’s been fun looking back over this franchise.
The films maybe a satire take on the MTV show “My Super Sweet 16” (MTV are the ones who also made these films) but they were done well and showed its influences from earlier slasher films very clearly.
The series gave us some fantastic characters, especially a strong female character with ‘Skye Rotter’ and some characters we enjoyed watching their just desserts, especially ‘Madison Penrose’.
I do feel they dropped the ball though with the character of ‘Charlie Rotter’, I feel they spent too much time focusing so much on ‘Skye’ that this key character was underlooked and not given enough screen time to hook us in.
Despite its faults and some gaping plot holes the films are great for a younger crowd, a gateway series so to speak, that’s no bad thing for the younger crowd.
“My Super Psycho Sweet 16” is modern Horror done properly, kudos to MTV for doing it.
