Well folks, there you have it. The entire “Paranormal Activity” franchise review.
It’s been interesting looking back over this franchise.
To say the first film isn’t even ten years old I have to say that it hasn’t exactly aged well, it’s so, so strange when you think about it. You can’t deny it’s impact on the genre though, because of this film we’ve had countless ‘paranormal’ films, both good and bad.
There is one “Paranormal Activity” film I haven’t watched and a couple of people asked why I didn’t include it. That film is “Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Night”, the reason I didn’t include it was because it’s not an official part of the franchise.
A franchise hadn’t had this sort of impact since “SAW”, it grabbed people who weren’t usually fan of Horror and got them to watch it and for many people it was their gateway film, each generation has one, for that we cn be thankful even if you’re not a fan.
There is a “Paranormal Activity” game due out called “Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul”, it’s to be released using the VR technology which is currently being hyped up. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see if it leads the way for Horror VR games in the future.
“Paranormal Activity” is an opinion splitting franchise, which side of the fence are you on?
