Using a special camera that can see spirits, a family must protect their daughter from an evil entity with a sinister plan.
Well, who didn’t see this coming?!
After the last film I honestly thought they’d stop and let the franchise rest, the fans weren’t interested and it was obvious that the movie going world had moved on as well. What was once shocking and exciting had become boring and predictable, it’s a sad fact that most franchises have to come to terms with.
Why this film was made, I have no idea. After the atrocity that was the last film it seemed to be the final nail in the coffin but now we know better. The studios decided to milk the last bit of money out of moviegoers and that much is obvious when watching the film.
I found the film to be very dull and unimaginative, they also ruined the one giant aspect by revealing ‘Tobi’, the demon in the previous films. It’s such a disappointing end to a series that once had so much promise and generated over $1billion, it brought people back to cinemas and back to Horror.
Producers Jason Blum and Oren Peli have confirmed that this film marked the final installment of the franchise, we’ve heard that one before and only time will tell if it’s true but I highly doubt it. This also showed that the standard Paranormal Activity formula had become truly stale.
“Paranormal Activity – The Ghost Dimension” let the franchise gou out on a whimper instead of a bang, if you don’t watch it you’re not missing anything.
