Angela Baker, from Camp Arawak, Is now Angela Johnson, a counsellor at Camp Rolling Hills. She hopes that the other campers are nice and aren’t getting in trouble.
5 years after the release of it’s predecessor we we’re finally given a sequel that fans had been yearning for.
‘Angela’ is all grown up now and after having undergoing years of therapy, electro-shock and sexual reassignment surgeries, shes finally landed herself a job in the last place she should be working – camp rolling hills.
The role of ‘Angela’ is now played Pamela Springsteen (she is Bruce Springsteen’s younger sister), Felissa Rose was asked to return to play the role but was to busy attending college, it’s a shame she didn’t as it would’ve been good to have the continuity of the same actress but Pamela does a great job in the role.
The films atmosphere is very different to it’s predecessor, this sequel is mainly about humour. Whilst I wouldn’t usually like this I did think it worked well, kudos to everyone involved for being able to pull it off so well. Yes the film is b-movie trash but if you love fantastic death scenes gratuitous female nudity then this is the film for you.
My only problem with this sequel is that I’d like to have seen more of the back story, we jump from the end scene of “Sleepaway Camp” to she’;s all grown up and been through a-lot of trouble. That’s a big chunk to be missing out on and could’ve made an awesome sequence.
“Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers” is a fun sequel to watch as long as your expectations aren’t too high, it’s a great film to turn your brain off from the real world and enjoy some mindless mayhem.
