Toxie finds he has nothing to do as a superhero, as he has ridden his city of evil.
What do you do when you’ve cleaned up all the crime in the city? Well you get an office job ofcourse.
That’s exactly where find our hero, he’s cleaned the streets of Tromaville and now has a corporate job. But we know it won’t stay that way or it would make for boring viewing so of-course the trouble returns to the town and once again Toxie has to fight crime.
If some parts of the film seem familiar then that’s because the original “Toxic Avenger II” edit was over 4 hours long, so the Troma team split it into 2 movies. So the half the film is made up of footage shot for “Toxic Avenger Part II” which can be a bit of an annoyance when it’s highly obvious.
That doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining though, we still have the trademark over the top gore and overall cheesiness which includes the now expected Toxie sex scene and I don’t care what anyone says I always find them hilarious. This one includes one of the funniest lines in the franchise but I won’t ruin it by repeating it here.
As fun as it is I just couldn’t properly get into this film, it starts well but seems to just quickly decline to the point where it’s hard to watch, also if you’re looking for the trademark nudity, well I’m sorry to tell you that it’s really been drawn back in this feature.
“The Toxic Avenger Part III – The Last Temptation Of Toxie” isn’t as fun as the other releases but it’s still got entertainment value.
Miscellaneous facts about the film:
Rick Collins said that during production, three child extras were scared of him in the Devil make up. When he convinced the first two children that it was only make up and even offered for them to feel it, they did and were no longer scared. However, when the third child tried to feel it, he did the Devil’s scream and since then, he has admitted he felt bad about doing it.
Mark Torgl was offered the chance to return as Melvin.
