A group of college students, on a trip to the Mountain Man Festival on Halloween in West Virginia, encounter a clan of cannibals.
After the fun of number four it didn’t seem to be a bad idea to try again with another.
Unfortunately after all the entertainment we had in “Wrong Turn 4” seemed to be the last of that as we are treated to what I can only describe as trash, it’s not even a so bad it’s good, it’s just plain awful. It’s a frustrating film to watch.
I remember thinking “Not another…” when this was announced, it just felt as though the franchise had run its course and another addition just wasn’t needed. Though I must admit my interest seriously peaked when the iconic Doug Bradley was cast.
Unfortunately he wasn’t enough to save this feature, infact I was actually quite disappointed with his performance. He looked pretty bored and to be honest you can’t blame him as most of the viewers were as well, the rest of the cast didn’t help either and neither did the dodgy american accent from Roxanne McKee.
The plot was paper thin and to be stretched out over 90 minutes it just became so dull, how Declan O’Brien managed to get back into the Director’s chair as well as keeping his writing job is just a mystery.
“Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines” is a very weak entry in the franchise and showed that the rot had well and truly set in.
