Earth 2 from DC Comics was the target of some controversy because issue #2 shows that Alan Scott is gay.\u00a0 So What?\u00a0 Yeah that changes some of the past issues you may have in your long box but that is why DC is calling these titles the new 52.\u00a0 Anyway, the focus of issue #2 should have been the fact that the Earth 2 Flash was born or created shall I say.<\/h4>\n

Issues #3 starts right were #2 left off.\u00a0 A bullet train crashes in China.\u00a0 Mostly everyone is dead but one survivor is granted a gift.\u00a0 That survivor was Alan Scott and the gift was to become the champion of the Earth.\u00a0 In accepting the power and the responsibility he becomes a jade knight but we know that his name better as the Green Lantern.<\/h4>\n

Green Lantern\u2019s story is not the only story to be told.\u00a0 The Flash finds himself in Poland.\u00a0 He also finds out that he is not alone.\u00a0 Earth 2\u2019s Hawkgirl is waiting for him.\u00a0 She wants his help to figure out who is killing off everything not only in Poland, but across the world.<\/h4>\n

As we find out later in the book, the Earth is being consumed by the man of grey and that is what is destroying the Earth.\u00a0 The man of grey is after the Earth\u2019s new champion, the Green Lantern.\u00a0 Who is the man of grey you say?\u00a0 He is none other than Grundy.<\/h4>\n

I personally do not like the look of Grundy.\u00a0 I am biased since Grundy is one of my favorite characters from back in the day, but I understand DC wanting to modernize the man of grey.\u00a0 Anyway, the Earth 2 stories have been well written and the artwork is great.\u00a0 I definitely recommend that you check these titles out.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let the media influence your decision either way.\u00a0 If you want to read a great comic, pick up the Earth 2 titles from DC Comics.<\/h4>\n
