A young man whose job is to watch over the Cube endeavours to rescue an innocent woman trapped in one of its rooms.<\/h3>\n

“Cube Zero” gives us an insight in-to the behind the scenes running of the cubes, we also get the prequel routine which many of us are familiar with, but did it work?<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

After the\u00a0lacklustre response to “Cube 2: Hypercube” it was no surprise to see a new director take over, Ernie Barbarash took over directing duties which seemed like a good idea after doing production work for the previous film. The problem is, is that\u00a0“Cube 2: Hypercube” didn’t excite fans and a better idea would have been to either get\u00a0Vincenzo Natali back on board or go with someone completely different altogether.<\/h3>\n

The casting for this film gets shrunk in size, instead of multiple people locked in a cube we get 2 employees locked away running the machines. We do have other cast but my biggest distraction is the character of ‘Jax’, he reminds me so much of actor Rik Mayall, if you don’t know him then google him.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

The interaction we get between our main characters Eric and Dodd is great viewing, the fact that they’re terrified of there employers makes for great\u00a0tension especially\u00a0when one of the employers send one of their own from high command to try and solve a big problem that has happened.<\/h3>\n

We do see some scenes of people inside the cubes but it’s hard to feel anything for them when they’re begging for mercy as we don’t really know them or their stories, they’re more background cast in this feature but it doesn’t really matter as we do get to see some action in the cubes themselves, especially with a great ending.<\/h3>\n

It’s sad to see the franchise end on this note as I felt this film was the one to bounce the franchise back ,\u00a0I really enjoyed it and was glad to still be left with a little mystery.\u00a0For those of you who didn’t enjoy it, at-least it was better than “Cube 2: Hypercube”.<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
