It has been awhile since I did a review on the Lantern Corps, so I decided to focus today\u2019s review on issue #13 of the Red Lanterns.\u00a0 Besides being a great title from DC, this issue of Red Lanterns is important to the Rise of the Third Army storyline.\u00a0 For those of you under a rock, the Third Army is the new vision of the Guardians. The Guardians are no longer satisfied with the Lantern Corps and they want to raise a Third Army.\u00a0 Let me tell you, from reading the other titles, this Third Army is bad ass and will be hard to defeat. But I do not want to go into too much detail, instead let me draw the focus back to the Red Lanterns #13.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Issue #13 starts of on the planet Arhtky of Sector 2967.\u00a0 There we find sisters who have been captured a raider known simply as Cord.\u00a0 His men raided and killed everyone in the village except the two sisters.\u00a0 This story is told from the point-of-view of the younger sister, Taya.\u00a0 This allows us to feel what Taya feels, and she feels nothing but RAGE.\u00a0 She wants to see these men pay fro what they have done to her village and her family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taya\u2019s rage is so great, that on the planet Ysmault, the Red Lanterns sense this rage and are drawn in her direction.\u00a0 They leave their home to find the source of this rage.\u00a0 Meanwhile, Taya has a plan, she dances for them and as they pass out she makes her escape to a nearby village.\u00a0 Cord and his men eventually find her, and make those who helped Taya pay.\u00a0 In the process Taya is attacked by Cord, but then Cord is attacked by Atrocitus and the rest of the Red Lanterns.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the Red Lanterns are in battle, they are ambushed by the Third Army.\u00a0 They have never encountered these beings before.\u00a0 They are shocked that their powers seem useless against their attackers.\u00a0 However, Atrocitus is a great warrior and he has figured out a way to kill these beings.\u00a0 Since they can die, he has no fear to take them on.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What will happen next?\u00a0 You will have to get the next issue to see.\u00a0 I also recommend that you get the other lantern titles to keep up with the Third Army storyline.\u00a0 The writing and artwork is amazing!\u00a0 This issue deserves a rating of 15 out of 10.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t read the Red Lanterns titles before, you should definitely get this issue and see what you are missing.<\/strong><\/p>\n
