Before I start the review, I just want to apologize for the lateness of this review.\u00a0 I realize that this issue as well as some others I am about to review have been out for at least two weeks.\u00a0 You may have already gotten the scoop but I feel this title is so strong; it deserves to be reviewed on www.somewhatnerdy.com<\/a> for our loyal followers. So sit back and enjoy the show.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Indestructible Hulk is a new series from the Marvel Now movement to compete with DC\u2019s the new 52.\u00a0 I was worried about a new Hulk title because I really enjoyed the last series.\u00a0 That and I saw the cover art with the Hulk wearing what appear to be purple metallic pants.\u00a0 Anyway, I wanted to give the issue a try because I am a die-hard Hulk fan.\u00a0 I am glad I did. Issue #1 has a great story, one that I think all comic fans will enjoy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Issue #1 starts with S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill leading a squad that is trying to locate the beast known as the Hulk and the scientist behind this monstrosity.\u00a0 The agents are given orders to apprehend no matter what form Banner may be in.\u00a0 Well, Maria\u2019s part of the stakeout is in a diner of all places.\u00a0 Anyway, Banner just walks in the door and offers Agent Hill a deal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is the deal you ask?\u00a0 He is offering to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., not only as a scientist but as muscle when needed.\u00a0 He has come to terms with what he has become and he wants to use it for the greater good.\u00a0 Maria lets Banner in on a trial basis as they take down the Mad Thinker and his plans of releasing W.M.D.\u2019s on the states.\u00a0 Long story short, the good guys win and Dr. Banner has a new gig.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mark Waid\u2019s writing promising to bring a new life to the Hulk and new fans because of this new life.\u00a0 I was absolutely blown away by this title and cannot wait until issue #2 to hit the shelves.\u00a0 I give this issue a 15 out of 10 rating. Get your copy today while you still can.<\/strong><\/p>\n
