Well my fellow Nerds, it is Christmas Eve which means I only have two more cosplay interview posts for the week.\u00a0 Today’s interview is really special because it is from a cosplayer who is very talented.\u00a0 You have probably seen some of her photos with Superhero Photography or Insane Pencil and didn’t even realize it.\u00a0 She is as talented as she is beautiful.\u00a0 Ladies and Gentemen, I present to you my interview with Gillykins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Who are you and where are you from?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My name is Gillian aka. Gillykins and I\u2019m from Toronto, Canada<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. How did you discover cosplay?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I started attending conventions before I discovered cosplay.\u00a0 Every convention I went to there were even more people in costume.\u00a0 I decided I was missing out on something and wanted to give it a try!\u00a0 Seven years later and I\u2019m still hooked!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a03. You have so many wonderful cosplays, but I really love your old school Psylocke.\u00a0 What made you come up with that idea?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Betsy has such an interesting back-story and is one of my favorite x-ladies.\u00a0 During my 80\u2019s X-men phase I feel in love with her original costume: the puffy sleeves, side cutouts and mandarin collar.\u00a0 I had never seen the costume done before and decided that needed to change.\u00a0 People either know exactly who I am or think I\u2019m lying when I say Psylocke.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a04. What comic cosplay is your favorite?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0My favorite cosplay is my starfield Donna Troy.\u00a0 I always love getting to be Donna, it feels so natural.\u00a0 I get to be the friendly and lovable Titan who can punch your lights out!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a05. Do you cosplay other genres?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I\u2019ve done cosplay from Comics, Anime, Video Games, 80\u2019s TV Shows and even original designs.\u00a0 If I love something enough I\u2019ll make a costume, it\u2019s my way of expressing my fandom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a06. What is your favorite method to show off your cosplay, conventions or photo shoots?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I love going to conventions in cosplay.\u00a0 Being in costume you have to chance to meet so many people who share you fandom, it\u2019s a great icebreaker.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a07. What other modeling do you do besides cosplay?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I don\u2019t do much modeling; I have a full time job which eats most of my times.\u00a0 Any modeling I\u2019ve done has been with my photographer friends for lighting tests, experiments or plain old fun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a08. What are your plans for the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I have a few upcoming costume plans; I\u2019m currently working on Polaris and have most of the supplies to re-make my Wonder Girl costume.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0My starfield Donna is my favorite but Zatanna is a close second.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been updating Zatanna over the years and is always one of my favorites to wear.<\/strong><\/p>\n
