Happy Mardi Gras Nerds!\u00a0 In honor of Mardi Gras, I decided to post a review on a Punisher trade that debuted in 1992.\u00a0 Why this particular book you ask?\u00a0 Well, simply because it takes place in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.\u00a0 The book is called The Punisher: Die Hard in the Big Easy.\u00a0 For those of you who don’t know, New Orleans is known as the big easy because we like to take our time and just party every night.\u00a0 Anyway, I decide that this book would be good for today’s post.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The story begins and ends in New Orleans, but there is a “flashback” to catch us up to why the Punisher is in the state of Louisiana rather than his normal New York turf.\u00a0 You see, Frank was in the middle of stopping a drug bust in New York when the shit hit the fan and there was no survivors.\u00a0 No one he could question about their supplier.\u00a0 Well, when Frank worked clean-up he noticed that one of the men had a Louisiana license as well as LA plates on his car.\u00a0 So Frank had Microchip look into the name on the license while he made his way to Louisiana.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, when Microchip got back to Frank he knew to ask around for Rocky.\u00a0 Well, this scared the locals because they knew he was dead and they figured that Frank had something to do with tha,\u00a0 It turns out that Rocky worked for the local thugs and answered to man named\u00a0 Harold Monsarrat.\u00a0 Monsarrat had some connections in\u00a0the underworld\u00a0of New Orleans as well as the high-class.\u00a0 It was a mighty thin line that Monsarrat was walking and if Frank had his way, Mr. Monsarrat won’t be walking on it much longer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Monsarrat’s first plan to take of the Punisher fails, he calls in a man known as the Mortician.\u00a0 He is an expert in Voodoo as well as a henchman of evil.\u00a0 The Mortician and his men managed to capture Frank and bury him alive.\u00a0 Frank got out of that ordeal with a little help by a witness to his burial.\u00a0 Once Frank regained his nerve, he went after the Mortician as well as Monsarrat.\u00a0 Any Punisher fan knows whats in store next.\u00a0 He does get the bad guys and he does walk away, but I am not telling you how.\u00a0 You need to get a copy of this trade any way you can.\u00a0 It is a must read for any die-hard Punisher fan.<\/strong><\/p>\n
