I cannot get enough of this series!\u00a0 I love the writing of Bendis and Mack and how they successfully made a modern day mystery novel out of a great comic character.\u00a0 Daredevil: End of Days continues to be a hit with readers from around the globe.\u00a0 The fact that the word \u201cMapone\u201d is still a mystery is a great success in writing by Bendis and Mack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In issue #5, Ben is in prison questioning a man from Matt\u2019s past who may know what \u201cMapone\u201d means.\u00a0 That man, in case you missed it, is Frank Castle aka the Punisher. Ben\u2019s instincts are correct, Frank does know what \u201cMapone\u201d means, but he is not telling. While Ben is in prison, there is a fire which causes the interview to end and allows the Punisher to escape.\u00a0 With that connection gone, Ben goes to another costumed person form the Daredevil\u2019s past.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This time, the person from Matt\u2019s past was known as the Gladiator.\u00a0 Today, Melvin Potter is a successful businessman who owns a costume shop that sale realistic hero\/villain costumes.\u00a0 Ben asks him about the Elektra outfit from when Bullseye committed suicide. Melvin acknowledges that the costume was his.\u00a0 Ben also asks him about his dealings with Matt.\u00a0 It turns out that Matt ordered a DD costume that was a little smaller than he was.\u00a0 What was the purpose?\u00a0 Well, then Ben remembers something that Frank told him.\u00a0 Maybe Daredevil was training a replacement for when he was gone.\u00a0 But does all this have to do with \u201cMapone\u201d?\u00a0 Ben needed to find out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ben gets another lead from Daredevil\u2019s past, this time it is the psycho-killer known simply as Bushwacker.\u00a0 He is in a hospital, clinging to life.\u00a0 Ben begins to ask question not knowing if Bushwacker is conscious or not when a familiar face comes running towards him. \u00a0Who is this familiar face?\u00a0 What happens to Ben or the Bushwacker?\u00a0 Well, you will have to get the issue to see.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Issue # 5 gets another 15 out of 10 rating from me.\u00a0 Knowing this is issue #5 out of 8 makes me sad because I do not want the story to end.\u00a0 Do yourself a favor and get your copy today.\u00a0 This is a must read for all comic and mystery fans!<\/strong><\/p>\n
