Well hello fellow Nerds, did you think I forgot today was Monday?\u00a0 I had quite an eventful day but I did set aside time in my day to make sure that all you cosplay fans got your fix on Monday.\u00a0 As they say, better late than never, right?\u00a0 LoL\u00a0 Anyway, today I bring you an interview with a very beautiful and talented cosplayer from Italy.\u00a0 She goes by the name Sbabby, and she is very talented.\u00a0 So without further ado, here is my interview with Sbabby.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Who are you and where are you from? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello Somewhatnerdy readers , \u00a0I\u2019m Sbabby, from Milan, Italy [so turn the super Mario accent on as you read my answers! \u2013 it\u2019s-a me, Sbabby!]. My full name is Barbara Rodolfi, I\u2019m 16\u2026 Ok I\u2019m 24 [dammit] and I\u2019ve been cosplaying for 5 years<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. How did you discover cosplay? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been into comics, manga and video games and on some magazine they use to sell at the comic shop, Giorgia Cosplay was often featured, and I loved her aaaah so much! Also I\u2019m quite crafty and always wanted to learn how to sew, and when my grandpa bought me a sewing machine back in 2004 I started practicing. I eventually made my first 2 costumes as my boyfriend came up with the idea of cosplaying Cou and Ren from Elemental Gelade. It was such a beautiful experience for me, I never quit since then!<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. I really love your Ms. Marvel cosplay.\u00a0 What made you choose her? <\/strong><\/p>\n

As I grew older I got more comfortable with my body and my looks in general, I felt it was time for me to impersonate a sexy, powerful and independent comic book-girl ^^ I chose her because well, I love faux leather and just learned to make leotards\u00a0 LOL also, I think somewhere deep in my ego I secretly want to be a BLONDE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Have you cosplayed other comic characters? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Not yet, I have some Marvel girls in project [Emma Frost or Jean Grey? I can\u2019t choose!] and a DC girl, Selina Kyle \u2013 I\u2019m also temped to make a Poison Ivy costume, I\u2019m not sure yet!<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. What other genres do you cosplay? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Manga and Videogames, I can\u2019t really tell you what genre I like best because I choose a character to cosplay each time for different reasons: sometimes I can relate to the character, sometimes she has a side in her personality that I wish I had and sometime I just like the outfit or think is challenging to make ^^ I like to improve at sewing and making props!<\/strong><\/p>\n

6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0I do both!<\/strong><\/p>\n

7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Sort of, on my FB page you can find some of my modeling pictures. But I\u2019m not a model, I do that for fun!<\/strong><\/p>\n

8. What are your plans for the future? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Cosplay plans, I\u2019m working on a quite intricate costume [a \u201csecret\u201d one :P] that hopefully I\u2019ll be wearing at Cartoomics in March.\u00a0 This summer I\u2019ll make a photo shoot cosplaying as Leia from SW. Yes, the bikini-slave version! STAY TUNED! :D<\/strong><\/p>\n
