The DC Comics Lantern Corps have another hit on their hands.\u00a0 Larfleeze is a book that any lantern fan should pick up and read.\u00a0 I was never a big Larfleeze fan in the past, I mean I liked the character but I never really understood the need for Larfleeze centered stories.\u00a0 After reading the Threshold comics, my\u00a0dislike for Larfleeze started to\u00a0fade.\u00a0 However, after reading issue #1 of Larfleeze’s own title, I am absolutely a big fan of his.\u00a0 This book is just what DC needs to add some interest in the Orange Lantern known as Larfleeze and all his antics.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

In issue #1, we find Larfleeze doubting his role in the universe at the cosmic nexus where everything becomes energy and then is no more.\u00a0 Why is he here you ask?\u00a0 Well, all of his possessions are gone, including his orange battery.\u00a0 He may be immortal but he has lost the will to live so he is planning on converting himself to energy, with his butler Stargrave of course.\u00a0 It is at this moment, Larfleeze reflects on his past and Stargrave reminds him that he does matter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As they both come to this revelation, a large hound comes from the nexus and tries to claim them as a snack, but Larfleeze was having none of it and took care of this monster made out of energy.\u00a0 There is only one problem, his master came looking for him.\u00a0 It is at this moment that Larfleeze has set his eyes on a new treasure, and no being large or small shall stop him from getting what is his.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The writing of Keith Giffen and J.M. Dematteis\u00a0is entertaining as always.\u00a0 I mean, this was a great story and it makes you want read more. The artwork of Scott Kollins helps bring their words to life and entertains at the same time.\u00a0 If Larfleeze is written and drawn this well in every issue, this title will be around for a long time.\u00a0 I give this issue a perfect rating of 10 out of 10.\u00a0 I know you will enjoy it just as much as I did.<\/strong><\/p>\n
