Set in 19th Century Canada, Brigette and her sister Ginger take refuge in a Traders’ Fort which later becomes under siege by some savage werewolves.<\/h3>\n

Shot back-to-back with “Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning” and released in the same year, we get the third and final film of the “Ginger Snaps” trilogy.<\/h3>\n

Usually when films set their characters in the past I don’t like them but\u00a0“Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning” is the difference, the film shows that when it’s done right it can be brilliant.<\/h3>\n

The cinematography of the film is visually stunning and has lots of contrast, it’s depressing yet beautiful. You can tell a-lot of thought has gone into every detail of the film, from wardrobe to set design and it makes the film so much better to watch, it’s the small touches.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With the amazing cinematography it makes for very atmospheric viewing and for a film of this type that is a must, the creepiness of the film is something I adore and revel in. My one problem this time was it wasn’t as well written as the previous two and Ginger isn’t the bitchy character we’ve come to love.<\/h3>\n

Also as good a premise as it was and as fun as the film is, it does feel like it was just an add on to the franchise to make it a trilogy. But I won’t complain as it is great to see Katherine Isabelle and Emily Perkins on screen together, they have great chemistry and by this instalment they’re on screen partnership is at it’s best.<\/h3>\n

“Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning” is a great stand alone film, just don’t expect too much from what we’ve had in the previous two films.<\/h3>\n
