{"id":18182,"date":"2013-08-21T22:23:43","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T03:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/somewhatnerdy.com\/home\/?p=18182"},"modified":"2013-08-27T14:32:33","modified_gmt":"2013-08-27T19:32:33","slug":"derfs-comic-picks-of-the-week-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/somewhatnerdy.com\/home\/derfs-comic-picks-of-the-week-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Derf&#8217;s Comic Picks of the Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/somewhatnerdy.com\/home\/derfs-comic-picks-of-the-week-9\/avengers-18\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18185\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-18185\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/somewhatnerdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Avengers-18-680x387.jpg?resize=660%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Well, it&#8217;s Wednesday so that means its time for some new comics and I couldn&#8217;t be happier.\u00a0 There are some big issues that came out today including some big issues from Marvel Comics dealing with their Infinity storyline.\u00a0 So let&#8217;s take a look at my comic picks for the week.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DC Comics continue to crank out some good hits.\u00a0 Arrow #10, Green Lantern: New Guardians #23, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe #5, Justice League Dark #23, Superman Unchained #3, and Trinity of Sin: Pandora #3 top my list.\u00a0 The big issue from DC Comics that I cannot wait to read is the Batman Beyond Universe #1.\u00a0 I am a big fan of the character and I cannot wait to see how this storyline is treated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dark Horse is always a must for me because of the Star Wars franchise.\u00a0 This week is no different with the release of Darth Vader &amp; Ninth Assassin #5 (of 5).\u00a0 I cannot wait to see how this story ends.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IDW is on my radar this week with the first issue of KISS Kids.\u00a0 I mean, c&#8217;mon it&#8217;s KISS.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Finally my list ends with Marvel which has the big hitters this week in my opinion.\u00a0 The Infinity storyline continues this week in issues #18 of the Avengers and Avengers Assemble as well as Thunderbolts #14.\u00a0 An Aftermath of the Age of Ultron issue is release in the Indestructible Hulk #12.\u00a0 My list of Marvel Comics end with X-men #4.\u00a0 Is this new team ready for the Battle of the Atom?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>These are my picks of the week.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy the issues that I have picked as must reads.\u00a0 Until next time, Get your read on!<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><A HREF=\"http:\/\/ad.doubleclick.net\/jump\/N6061.1805098.SOMEWHATNERDY.COM\/B7738876.2;sz=728x90;ord=[timestamp]?\"><\/p>\n<p><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/ad.doubleclick.net\/ad\/N6061.1805098.SOMEWHATNERDY.COM\/B7738876.2;sz=728x90;ord=[timestamp]?\" BORDER=\"0\" WIDTH=\"660\" HEIGHT=\"90\"><\/A><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, it&#8217;s Wednesday so that means its time for some new comics and I couldn&#8217;t be happier.\u00a0 There are some big issues that came out &hellip;
