It is the triumphant return of my cosplay interviews.\u00a0 I took a little break to get some summer time in as well as waiting for some of my interviewees to return from their con schedule.\u00a0 Although I have been away for a while, I promise you I am in no danger of running out of interviews.\u00a0 For my return, I wanted to showcase a very talented cosplayer by the name of Alexa.\u00a0 You probably have seen her work and just didn’t realize it.\u00a0 So sit back, grab your beverage of choice, and enjoy the beauty that is Alexa Karii.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Who are you and where are you from?\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

Hey there! My name is Alexa Karii and as of right now I live in Boston, MA. \u00a0I am originally from Russia and moved here when I was 5.<\/strong><\/div>\n

2. How did you discover cosplay?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was really by accident. I never knew cosplay even existed but I had been doing it pretty much my whole life. Dressing up like movie characters and taking photos as them. \u00a0My very first was dressing up like Neo from the matrix. (Girl version , duh!)<\/strong><\/div>\n

3. I really love your Assassin\u2019s Creed cosplay.\u00a0 What made you come up with that idea?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have done two Assassin’s Creed cosplays. My first was Ezio and that I got the idea from Jessica Nigri actually when she did her Connor cosplay. \u00a0As much as I love her work I really was not a fan of how hyper sexualized she made the outfit. Being such a huge fan of the games I wanted to do my own cosplay doing a bit more justice to the game. \u00a0That’s why I did my first Ezio cosplay. \u00a0The second one was the wolf outfit from the third games DLC. I chose that one because I really do not have great sewing skills and the outfit was a bit more forgiving in the styling. \u00a0It was more of less a free hand pattern so if I made a mistake it was much easier to cover up. \u00a0The only hard part was the wolf headdress. That took weeks to do. I made it by hand gluing little wads of fur one by one.<\/strong><\/div>\n

4. You have quite the various cosplay collections; do you have a favorite genre that you cosplay?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
My two favorite would be comic book characters and \u00a0videogames.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
5. What other characters have you cosplayed?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
Just to\u00a0name a few, Black Canary, Harley Quinn, Juliet from Lollipop Chainsaw, Emma Frost, and Lara Croft<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I love going to conventions! But for me photo-shoots are what really bring the costume and hard work to life so I do a TON of those.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?<\/strong><\/div>\n
I love doing modeling aside from cosplay but I have little time to do other projects.<\/strong><\/div>\n

So far I really want to do something in the video field. Something in character design. If not, run my own business.<\/strong><\/div>\n

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?<\/strong><\/div>\n

URGH! that’s so hard but I guess I would have to say my Assassins Creed 3 cosplay.<\/strong><\/div>\n
