As you know, every once in a while I do a spotlight on a comic or an comic event I think may have been missed and should be discussed.\u00a0 Well, I had one of those moments last night.\u00a0 As I was winding down after a long day, I was on my Comixology app on my Kindle Fire and noticed a preview for a Samurai Jack #1 from IDW publishing.\u00a0 As I saw this post, my heart was filled with joy.\u00a0 I absolutely loved the Samurai Jack cartoons and always felt his story died too soon.\u00a0 Well, I thought to myself, “Its too late to put it on my Comic Picks of the Week post, and since I missed it at first, it naturally made since to put it in a post all its own.”\u00a0 As a result, you have this post.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those of you who do not know the story of Samurai Jack, here is the story in a nutshell.\u00a0 A legendary Samurai known only as Jack is stranded in a future world that is not his own.\u00a0 To get back home he must somehow defeat the\u00a0evil that stranded him there.\u00a0 That evil, is the cunning and\u00a0demonic wizard\u00a0Aku.\u00a0 With that being said, it is no wonder that someone decided that the stories of Samurai Jack would be worthy for the world of comics.\u00a0 It just surprises me that it took this long.<\/strong><\/p>\n

IDW is becoming a big competitor in the world of comics.\u00a0 I mean, they have\u00a0great titles such as Transformers and GI Joe already under their belt \u00a0and now they add Samurai Jack to their portfolio of published works.\u00a0 I believe that Samurai Jack will be around for a long time if it is written properly.\u00a0 Only time will tell, and I can guarantee you that I will enjoy the ride.<\/strong><\/p>\n
