{"id":18813,"date":"2013-10-24T14:22:40","date_gmt":"2013-10-24T19:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/somewhatnerdy.com\/home\/?p=18813"},"modified":"2013-11-04T22:46:26","modified_gmt":"2013-11-05T04:46:26","slug":"comics-you-should-be-reading-the-thunderbolts-marvel-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/somewhatnerdy.com\/home\/comics-you-should-be-reading-the-thunderbolts-marvel-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Comics You Should Be Reading ~ the Thunderbolts (Marvel Now)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/somewhatnerdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/thunderbolts_v2_010-010.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-18814\" alt=\"thunderbolts_v2_010-010\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/somewhatnerdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/thunderbolts_v2_010-010-680x308.jpg?resize=660%2C308\" width=\"660\" height=\"308\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>I decided to try out a new post titled simply Comics You Should Be Reading.\u00a0 I cannot always review comics in time for new comic week due to a very busy and hectic schedule, but I still want to give our fans and followers a chance to discover new things.\u00a0 Perhaps share another opinion of a title you may wonder if you should pick it up or not.\u00a0 However the story goes in your case, I just want to give you a venue to read about books that I am reading and that I think you should to.\u00a0 For my first post under this new category, I chose the Marvel Now Thunderbolts comic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why the Thunderbolts you ask?\u00a0 Well, in my opinion, this is the most kick ass Thunderbolts team Marvel has put together.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t get me wrong, some of the past Thunderbolts teams have been solid and have had some kick ass members (like Songbird).\u00a0 But they cannot compare to the Marvel Now team.\u00a0 The roster is as follows: General &#8220;Rulk&#8221; Ross, Elektra, Frank Castle aka the Punisher, Deadpool, and Venom (Flash Thompson).\u00a0 Not to mention the supporting cast of the Leader as well as the mysterious Mercy.\u00a0 The team itself screams read me, but the stories have been well written and can carry this series for a long time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>So, I conclude by saying you really should be reading the Thunderbolts.\u00a0 The writing is solid, the cover art is amazing, and the team kicks ass!\u00a0 So far, I give the entire series a strong rating of 8 out of 10.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t like some of the inner artwork styles in the past few issues, hence the 8 instead of 10 rating.\u00a0 I hope you find this article informative and that you to will join the Thunderbolts.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t forget to get your READ on!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/somewhatnerdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/untitled.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-18816\" alt=\"Thunderbolts (Team Red)\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/somewhatnerdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/untitled-680x1032.png?resize=593%2C900\" width=\"593\" height=\"900\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I decided to try out a new post titled simply Comics You Should Be Reading.\u00a0 I cannot always review comics in time for new comic &hellip;
