Roger Cobb is killed in a car accident. His family must move into the house that has haunted him for several years. Soon the family begins to experience scary and unexplained phenomena.<\/h3>\n

Well here we are with the last entry in the franchise.<\/h3>\n

“House IV” picks up where “House” left off and we finally see the return of William Katt’s character ‘Roger Cobb’, well for a little while anyway, around ten minutes in-fact. I remember being shocked that he was killed so quickly because I was so excited to see him back on our screens in another “House” movie.<\/h3>\n

His shock death sets up the films story but it just doesn’t work out properly. I felt the film set us up for what could be a great story like we saw in “House” and\u00a0“House 2”, more of the family friendly fun that appealed to a wide audience but ultimately that’s ruined by nudity, swearing and a hell of a-lot of violence. I’m not saying that all that are bad things but it certainly would have been good to go back to what the original appeal was.<\/h3>\n

\"Capturey\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The film has some redeeming features, the house itself is creepy looking which is really helped by it’s surroundings, the effects are once again very well done my favourite being the pizza scene. Apart from that there’s not much else to it if I’m honest, the films story plods along and along and along with a basic and overused storyline.<\/h3>\n

The big problem is, is that there are some major continuity problems with this film, especially seeing as it’s supposed to be a straight sequel to “House”.\u00a0First the house was in a suburban neighbourhood and now it seems to be in the middle of a desert.\u00a0Also Roger Cobb had a son in the first film and in this sequel he has a daughter. I know it may seem picky but it’s things like that, that just get to me, it’s not too hard be keep the continuation going.<\/h3>\n

“House IV” was a serious disappointment and if I’m truly honest, a failure. I’d give it a miss if I were you, it’s time you wont get back.<\/h3>\n
