A small backwoods community has discovered that the local mortician has been cutting corners by dumping the bodies of their loved ones in a nearby swamp as opposed to cremating them as promised.<\/h3>\n

After the appalling second instalment I thought the ‘Pumpkinhead’ films were over, how wrong I was.<\/h3>\n

Luckily the film is better than “Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings” (although it didn’t take much), in-fact the film plays around it as if it never happened and acts as a sequel to the original film. Usually I’m not a fan of this tactic but it needed to be done and it works out best for everyone involved.<\/h3>\n

You can tell the team really tried to win fans back by bringing it Horror favourite Doug Bradley and getting Lance Henriksen to return to the series. It paid off big time and caught fans attention and made them give it one more try.<\/h3>\n

Getting Jake West to direct the film was a stroke of genius, he truly captures the essence of the film and plays at it’s strengths. He doesn’t try to make the film something it’s not and he’s great at creating a great atmosphere, in my opinion he is truly under-rated in his line of work.<\/h3>\n

The effects are also much better in this entry,\u00a0Glenn Hetrick whom you may know from the popular show “Face Off” worked on the film as the\u00a0special effects make-up artist and his great work shined on screen. My only qualm was there were segments where ‘Pumpkinhead’ was CGI’d, I understand that it was needed for the scenes but it could’ve been done better and it took away some part of a great return.<\/h3>\n

\"Capturew\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Pumpkinhead: Ashes To Ashes” is a return to form for the series, it’s definitely worth a watch.<\/h3>\n
