The demonic force lurking in Amityville for over 300 years escapes to a remote California mansion.<\/h3>\n

I hope you’re ready for this, because this is where things start to get weird.<\/h3>\n

In this movie we see the spirit that has haunted the house for many years finally get exorcised… And trapped inside a lamp. Yes a lamp, after all these years the demon that has tormented families to the point of murder is now trapped inside an electrical appliance.<\/h3>\n

This release was the start of ‘Made-For-TV’ releases in the series, but in all honesty there’s only so much you could have done with the story and that was all done in the first three releases.<\/h3>\n

‘Made-For-TV’ movies in the late 80’s weren’t exactly known for their greatness and not even seasoned Director\u00a0Sandor Stern could save this release, he had ties with the franchise with Screenplay and other Horror classics such as “Pin” but the script work and plot for this was just atrocious.<\/h3>\n

The acting doesn’t help either, it’s so stiff and, well, if you want to know what the term ‘overacting’ means then this film is the easiest way to find out.<\/h3>\n

“Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes” is a perfect example of a franchise milking itself for all it’s worth.<\/h3>\n
