Well folks, there you have it. The entire \u201cAmityville\u201d series review.<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been highly interesting looking over this franchise and for those of you wondering where the review of “The Amityville Asylum” let me explain, I consider it an unofficial release and not part of the series.<\/h3>\n

The Amityville house has always intrigued me, I can’t tell you what it is about it but I just always seem drawn to it and I know for a fact I’m not the only one. 35 years after “The Amityville Horror” was released it’s still talked about with fascination and wonder, but also scepticism about what truly happened and that’s what keeps the legends alive.<\/h3>\n

If you’re a fan of the films then I highly recommend that you read the books of the series, especially the one that started it all, Jay Anson’s 1977 release. It makes for some truly terrifying reading and I also recommend the documentary “My Amityville Horror” which I did a review of which can be read HERE.<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Unfortunately due to all the unwanted fame the books and films had brought upon the real house in Amityville, the owners at the time replaced the “evil eyes” windows with normal rectangle-shaped windows to try and deter tourists and fans. I considered it sacrilege when this happened but I can also understand how annoying it must be to always have people lurking round your house.<\/h3>\n

The series looks set to continue, recently it was announced that film company “Dimension Films” are releasing the film which follows the story of a single mother who moves her three children into the Amityville house where they soon begin to learn of its dark history.\u00a0French Director\u00a0Franck Khalfoun (“P2” and “Maniac”) is taking the reigns and it will be starring\u00a0Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan\u00a0and\u00a0Jennifer Jason Leigh, it’ll be interesting to see what they release.<\/h3>\n

“The Amityville Horror” is so much more than a film series and books, it’s a bona-fide legend that will continue to frighten and inspire future generations.<\/h3>\n
